Race description:          The race should take Elite riders about 50 minutes. The race will take the form of a time trial. Riders will start at 1 minute intervals. Elite/expert will start first at 10, followed by Sport A, Sport B, Women, then novices. As this is an individual time trial riders must give way by moving left when requested (and practicable) by a following rider. As riders will start at 1 minute intervals there should not be many overtaking riders encountered.

Course description:       The course is approximately 11km long and consists of about 7km of single track. The remainder is bush tracks or dirt road. The bush tracks will be traffic free with plenty of passing opportunities. The single track is tight in places but the course is rideable for anyone with good mountain bike skills. The course is undulating, with a few steep, but rideable uphills. There are a few drop-offs, but they will be manageable by most riders. The start and finish are within 20 meters of each other.
